Most of the timeline is within the group's control. The one-year audit takes days if payroll and travel records are organized. The knowledge record takes longer if the platform's documentation was never written with a petition in mind, so start it immediately.
The statement of work with the operator should be finalized so the petition can describe the assignment accurately and show the affiliate's control. File Form I-129 with premium processing under the fee schedule. While the petition is pending, the affiliate's U.S.
engineers can perform environment setup and data mapping that do not require her specialized knowledge, and she can support them remotely from Paradise, which is work performed in Canada and needs no U.S. status.
