THE DIRECT ANSWER

Confirm the current official instructions, the applicable applicant or corporate terms and the actual family proposal.

Use an up-to-date source record

Identify any difference from a prior summary and obtain review of unresolved obligations. An introduction to a program is not proof an application stage has been completed. Hypothetical example: a museum-exhibit fabrication director has identity records but needs organized proof for the relevant immigrant category.

Create two clearly labeled sets of records: identity and civil documents, and proof supporting the relevant EB-1 or EB-2 basis. The official instructions control what is needed and when; a consultant’s checklist may be incomplete or outdated. Keep payment correspondence separate from category evidence so a receipt is never mistaken for an eligibility finding.

Gaps often appear when names differ across passports, degrees or corporate records, or when an achievement is claimed without independent proof. Resolve those links before vetting. Any official payment must be traceable from the applicant to the U.S.

government, never treated as a transfer to a private intermediary. Use a simple index that identifies the issuing source and relevance of each record, so vetting requests can be answered without rebuilding the file.
